Almost Maine

I recently watched a stage play dubbed as "Almost, Maine". It is a very delightful play. A compilation of nine different stories and its setting was in the state of Maine. I happened to visit the state of Maine year 2014 that’s the sole reason why I watched it. Little did I know that I was in for a surprise.

The play was actually set in the imaginary town of Almost, in the state of Maine. Every single scene features a different couple in search of a happy ending called love.

Each passing stories contained weird coincidences. It is the kind of play where and idioms came to life and metaphors were taken literally.

I found this play so funny because here, people carry their broken hearts in paper bags and delivery bags or sacks loaded with love.

The four actors (Reb Atadero, Caisa Borromeo, Natalie Everett, and Jamie Wilson ) played multiple characters in sequences of segments about love. The play was under the direction of Bart Guingona.

The plot of the story can be very mythical but happens in real life. It can be described as simple however can still be labelled as profound. Almost, Maine is an amusing play concerning real people dealing with affairs of the heart.
